OUR MISSIONS

At the end of 2020, Nicolas Lapierre became co-owner of the team alongside Alexandre Coigny. Together, they launched CLX Motorsport, a new entity responsible for developing and operating the racing project based in Annecy. The name “CLX” comes directly from the combination of Coigny and Lapierre, symbolising a new chapter in the team’s evolution and its international ambitions.

Under their leadership, the team continued its growth in the ELMS, Asian Le Mans Series, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, while maintaining a people-focused identity, driven by performance and the development of young talent.

WHO WE ARE

Today, CLX Motorsport brings together experienced engineers, ambitious young drivers, and a culture built around discipline, preparation, and innovation. Whether fighting through traffic in a four-hour ELMS race or developing the next generation of racing talent, we approach every challenge with the same purpose: to push the limits of what a privateer team can achieve.

With a strengthened identity and a clear competitive focus, CLX Motorsport continues its mission to rise through the ranks of endurance racing—one season, one race, and one perfectly executed stint at a time.

Founded in 2017 under the name Cool Racing by Alexandre Coigny, the team began its endurance racing journey in the LMP3 category with the ambition of building a competitive and sustainable structure at the highest European level. Thanks to rapid progress and strong results in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and later in the European Le Mans Series, the team quickly established itself as one of the rising forces in endurance racing.

In 2019, Nicolas Lapierre joined the project as a driver to support the team’s development in LMP2. Drawing on his extensive experience in the FIA WEC, ELMS, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he quickly took on a role far beyond that of a driver, actively contributing to the sporting, technical, and human development of the organisation.
